Behaviour ManagementAt Carina State School, behaviour management is grounded in our core values: being safe, being respectful, being responsible and being a learner. We explicitly teach and model these expectations to support a positive, inclusive learning environment. Students are guided to make thoughtful choices, take ownership of their actions, and develop the social and emotional skills needed to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.
The Carina High 5 supports students in developing those skills by providing a relationship-focussed framework that gives students the tools to handle conflict constructively and maintain a positive environment.
Our school’s behaviour expectations were created together with staff and out P&C to reflect what we all value in a safe and respectful learning environment. They follow the standards set by Education Queensland’s Code of School Behaviour.
