Dress code

Carina State Schools dress code promotes:

  • A safe environment enabling identification of students and non-students of this school.
  • An effective teach and learning environment by eliminating the distraction of competition in dress and fashion at his school.
  • A supportive environment by fostering a sense of belonging and pride in the school.
  • Mutual respect amongst students at this school by minimizing visible evidence of economic, class or social differences.

Our dress code is supported and endorsed by the school’s P&C association. Parents enrol students at Carina State School on the understanding that the school uniform will be worn at all times (except in the case of a designated free dress days). This is because:

  • A uniform builds school spirit, contributing to a positive school culture and upholds the good image of the school in the community.
  • The uniform complies with sun safety (i.e. has collar and sleeves).
  • The uniform design promotes participation in all activities by both girls and boys.
  • Students will not be discriminated against by the quality or the fashion of their clothes.
